Job Details

The Project and Portfolio Management (“PPM”) team of the Green Investment Group (“GIG”) is seeking a highly motivated Executive to help GIG support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. In this role, you will work in the PPM team with responsibility for supporting the management in reporting and oversight of investments.

Working closely with GIG’s asset management team, you will manage a portfolio of renewable energy projects in line with investment case parameters, ensuring GIG’s standards of investment management and WHSE control are incorporated into all projects.

With a focus on the commercial management and technical oversight of onshore and offshore wind assets, you will be responsible for ensuring financial reporting is performed on a timely basis, technical matters on site are monitored and followed up, and internal and external reporting obligations are met.  In doing so, you will forge strong working relationships with both investment partners and technical managers.   This role will also see you supporting the PPM team in project and investment management as well as the monitoring of project performance and general variance reporting. Added responsibilities are general oversight of asset level project finance reporting and other lending facilities.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have at 4+ years’ experience in the financial and operational oversight of renewable assets (during construction and operation phases) and a working knowledge of the technical aspects of onshore and offshore wind asset management.  With a strong track record of financial and project management you will be highly analytical and methodical with great attention to detail.

If you are strong team player with a “can-do”, hands-on mentality, we want to hear from you.

This role is in Macquarie Capital, specifically within the Green Investment Group. Macquarie Capital provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fundraising and corporate restructuring. The Green Investment Group was acquired by Macquarie Group in 2017, creating one of Europe’s largest teams of dedicated green infrastructure investors. It is a specialist in green infrastructure principal investment, project delivery and portfolio management, and related services. Its track record, expertise and capability make it a global leader in green investment across a broad range of technologies including onshore and offshore wind, solar, waste-to-energy, and energy efficiency/storage.
