This is a great opportunity to join the Green Investment Group’s ‘Ratings & Impact Advisory’ team. As a Manager in this team, you’ll support the transition to a low carbon, sustainable global economy. You will be a central figure in a team that has developed a unique approach to assessing, monitoring and reporting the green impact of investments, and provides advisory services to investors to help measure their transition to a greener economy.

You will be responsible for direct evaluation and reporting on the green impact of investments, funds, financial instruments and projects, as well as pursuing opportunities to grow the market-facing advisory business and to develop new initiatives. In addition, you will have a strong technical understanding of environmental and wider sustainability issues combined with demonstrable business development and advisory experience. Other key areas of responsibility will include the implementation of positive impact measurement frameworks, creating and driving green advisory services and complex project management.

 

To be perform at the right level in this position, you’ll have at least 10+ years’ experience with a proven history of applying environmental science, policy and/or management skills within (or advising clients) in one or more of the following sectors: infrastructure (preferable renewable energy), investment banking, consulting, private equity and/or M&A investment advisory.

 

This role is in Macquarie Capital, specifically within the Green Investment Group. Macquarie Capital provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fundraising and corporate restructuring. The Green Investment Group was acquired by Macquarie Group in 2017, creating one of Europe’s largest teams of dedicated green infrastructure investors. It is a specialist in green infrastructure principal investment, project delivery and portfolio management, and related services. Its track record, expertise and capability make it a global leader in green investment across a broad range of technologies including onshore and offshore wind, solar, waste-to-energy, and energy efficiency/storage.
