Up to £11.83 Gross per Hour. Reliable, friendly and experienced Support Worker required for care package in Carlton IP17 to provide 2:1 support to a young man with cerebral palsy. Part-time, permanent role.

Wage / Salary: £10.71 gross per hour weekdays | £11.83 gross per hour weekends | £77.99 - £79.10 gross per night shift or waking night if required.
Driver required? Essential
Use of a car? On duty, adapted vehicle automatic drive
Essential: Experience supporting young clients with additional needs. Experience working within a care and family setting
Start Date: ASAP
Days & Hours: 18-20 hours per week and 1 sleeping night per week
Family Pets: 1 dog
Accommodation: Purpose-built adapted bungalow

Joe is 14 years old young man who enjoys classical music, swimming in his hydrotherapy pool and sailing. Joe has cerebral palsy and is a wheelchair user, he communicates using eye gaze, iPad, gestures and eye pointing. Due to his level of needs Joe requires 2:1 support throughout the day and 1:1 support at night. He is supported in his family home and out in the community by a small care team and are now looking for additional team members.

In this position you’ll assist with all aspects of Joe’s care and support plan, tending to all his care needs; including personal care, implementation of therapy programmes, administering medication, manual handling and enabling Joe to participate in activities at home as well as out and about in the community.
