Our professional client working from home is looking for a part-time PA/Office Support for 3 month cover while he recruits for a permanent full-service PA. The need is for cover in the mornings, twice a week for 2-2.5 hours per session. Wednesdays and Fridays are the preferred days.
He is ex-City and is partially-sighted. He is looking for a PA from a recognized corporate background, preferably ‘bulge-bracket’ or ‘Big 5’.
Currently, the client has ad-hoc admin/driving support, but needs higher-level regular PA/Office Support.
Please note that the client is not looking for a full-service PA for this temporary position but somebody who can cover core tasks to prevent a backlog of work building up.
The core tasks are:
- processing post
- efficient filing
- driving/shopping support (please note you must have your own car with insurance to carry passengers and no extra mileage is paid over the excellent hourly rate)
- attending meetings with service providers, both public and private, and taking notes where necessary
For a successful applicant with broader PA and MS Office skills, there is scope to get involved with more complex work e.g. online research (legal and other), creating documents etc.
Excellent rate of pay: £15.00 to £30.00 per hour dependent on skills / experience. For the right applicant coming from Cambridge or similar distance, the client will consider covering travel costs. Benefits available after qualifying period.
About You
The client is open to considering applicants from a variety of backgrounds. However,
you will need to meet the following core criteria:
- Be a good graduate from a traditional university,
- Have current PA experience (minimum 1 year)
- Have previous corporate PA experience, one to one, preferably in a ‘bulge-bracket’ or ‘Big 5’ environment
- Be reliable and trustworthy
- Be a non-smoker
- Respect our client's privacy and their need for confidentiality in all areas of your work
- Have a mature and responsible attitude
- Demonstrate excellent 2-way communication skills
- Have fluent English skills, both oral and especially writing skills
DBS clearance would be helpful and 2 work references will be taken up for the successful applicant prior to start.
To apply, please forward your CV in Word format only with a brief covering letter explaining why you are interested in the post.
For the right applicant, the client is looking for an immediate start subject to references
