Are you looking to make a difference in someone's life?

Thanks to the ongoing success of the current service, we are looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers in Woking who are currently supporting 14 individuals in supported living and 5 individuals in shared supported living whom have a learning disability.

We are currently offering both full time and part time positions for the Woking service. Shifts are on a rota basis, covering mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep-ins (Payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements).

In joining this enthusiastic team, you will be taking on an interesting role that offers real personal satisfaction, knowing that you really are making a difference in the lives of the people we support. You will be supporting those within our service, helping them live as independently as possible – with each individual needing support in different areas, no two days will ever be the same. For example, J.B needs support taking his medication every day, while M.S needs support washing their hair twice a week.

Working as a team, you will be responsible for updating their support plan and ensuring it is centred on their needs and aspirations. Other day to day tasks will include supporting S.C to visit her mum at her dementia home, supporting Z.N with buying new clothes and supporting K.F with going to the Chinese once a week!

The people we support are very active and thoroughly enjoy going out into the local community and going on day trips. Your role will be to support the people within the service to do what they want to do in their local community, encouraging them to try new things and doing the things they really love, such as supporting and encouraging J.B to go to the gym.

As a support worker, all you’ll need to have is a positive attitude and a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. If you support the people we support, we will support you with award winning training and progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

As well as knowing that what we do is making a positive difference to people’s lives, you will receive fair pay and have access to a wide range of rewards and benefits as one of our employees.
