The role itself will be working/supporting other Contract Managers (based from the Portsmouth Office mainly) on maintenance and reconfiguration/refurbishment projects across various sectors (e.g. Education, health, defence etc.).

This will involve the following:

• Pre-construction works (PQQ and Quotation/Tender preparation);
• H&S information and planning;
• Project Programmes;
• Obtaining quotations from the supply chain;
• Control throughout project lifecycle;
• Attending client and site meetings;
• Preparation of reports e.g. Progress reports;
• Inspection of works/snagging;
• Liaising with the commercial team for valuations etc.
• Project completion/handover.

The ideal candidate:

• Construction industry experience (i.e. 4-5 years);
• Driven, motivated, organised and enthusiastic with ambition to succeed within an ever expanding organisation;
• Ability to work with own initiative when required and manage workload efficiently;
• Strong IT and reporting skills alongside good written and oral communication skills;
• Experience with Microsoft Office beneficial;
• Driving licence essential.

Notes:

• Further training will be provided alongside a structured training/development plan for the right candidate;
• Salary £40k - £50k depending on qualifications/experience;
• Company vehicle supplied if required;
• Enrolment into company pension scheme (Oct 16);
• Supplied with laptop/tablet and phone;
• 3 month probation period with performance review (annual review thereafter).
