There is a Nurse Practitioner vacancy based at the Prison Services across Norfolk, there are 3 sites scattered across Norwich. You can work at any site, so you'll have the flexibility to make the commute as manageable as possible for you. They have parking available on site at all branches, and the central sites are easily accessible by public transport, both train and bus stations are around 20 minutes' walk from the main Norwich site.

The prisons are Category C housing an all-male population.

Working as a Nurse Practitioner you'll be seeing patients with minor illnesses including coughs, colds, rashes and general ailments. Some knowledge of chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, COPD etc. would be beneficial as reviews and check-ups will need to be carried out.

Being able to assess, diagnose and treat patients autonomously is essential.

You'll need to be NMC registered and ideally have an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice, or be working towards it.

They can consider either part time or full time candidates and can offer long days of work who want to consolidate their hours and free up more time. The salary is £50,000 per annum (FTE), however this is negotiable and will be dependent on your experience and skill set.

You'll also receive 5 weeks of annual leave + bank holidays, NHS pension contributions and sick pay policy.
