Faculty / Directorate

The People & Organisational Development (POD) Directorate supports DMU in attracting, developing and retaining staff, facilitating high standards of organisational performance, and providing support to colleagues to ensure a high-quality student experience. We offer learning and development, support for recruitment and retention, strategic change projects, policies, procedures and guidance on equality, health and wellbeing.

Role

As a Business Change Project Manager, you will manage key institutional projects that will promote improvement and enhance our performance across some key areas of activity. Working within the Organisation Development team, you will ensure that staff and students are considered at the heart of every project.

Whilst your key focus will be managing and delivering major corporate change projects from inception to completion, your advice, guidance and support will also be sought by faculties and directorates on the delivery of their own changes and improvements.

There is currently two positions available: One position Part Time (30 Hours) and one position Full Time (37 Hours).

Ideal Candidate

The Business Change Project Manager will have a track record of successfully delivering significant business change and improvement projects in a large organisation. You will have been directly accountable for successful delivery through the development of robust business cases, the pro-active management of risk, careful management of stakeholders and project teams, effective implementation and successful realisation of benefits.

You will also have sound knowledge and proven experience of project management and organisational change and continuous improvement, along with associated tools and techniques. This is likely to have been gained through delivering cultural and people change and process/system improvements on corporate projects.

You will be experienced at influencing key decision makers at all levels of the organisation and will be pro-active, flexible and resilient. A strong delivery focus is required, allied to excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills. You can expect to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment, whilst maintaining the support of key stakeholders.
