We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At DEBRA we are currently looking for a Retail Database Support Officer to join our team based in Bracknell, Berkshire. You will join our team on a temporary basis for 1 year to cover maternity leave. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £24,288 per annum. The worth of every activity at DEBRA is assessed by the impact it has to improve the quality of life for those in the EB community, a group of 3000+ people in the UK who have the genetic skin condition EB.  For over 40 years, the charity DEBRA has been providing care and funding research to try to cure this devastating condition. About the Retail Database Support Officer role You will work alongside the Gift Aid Assistant and Retail Database Manager, and there will be some crossover of duties. You will: - Support DEBRA shops in use of the EPOS tills - Ensure information stored on the EPOS database is correct - Assist with the retail gift aid claim. - Ensure DEBRA’s shops have the correct till and card processing hardware in place to operate efficiently Key responsibilities: - Ensure total understanding and familiarity with the way the shops operate in order to assist the Retail Database Manager with questions relating to entering data on the till. - Ensure familiarity and understanding of HMRC retail gift aid scheme rules; act as a point of contact with DEBRA’s gift aid donors including answering queries from donors, and issuing advice letters and refunds relating to the Gift Aid Claim - Liaise with DEBRA’s EPOS software providers to resolve routine issues either at shop level or in Head Office. - Review and correct weekly sales data for accuracy and completeness. - Ensure any gift aided cash donations received in the shops are logged on the fundraising database - Assist with the retail gift aid claim up to the point of submission to HMRC, ensuring DEBRA is claiming the correct amount and has the appropriate paperwork in place - Organise and issue all retail gift aid documentation and stationery required for new and existing shops. - Order all new hardware and associated EPOS software required in the DEBRA shops, ensuring the necessary hardware is in place to allow shops to open on time and to operate effectively.
