A small independent primary school requires a part time French teacher, to teach children from age 4 to 11 years.

To be able to review and update if necessary, the French scheme of work and resources. To prepare, develop and extend guidelines in consultation with the head and staff leading top the development of a scheme of work for French throughout the school whilst closely relating to the requirements of the National Curriculum. As well as acting as a consultant and adviser sharing knowledge and ideas with other staff on how French can be used to both enhance and differentiate all areas of the curriculum.

  • The option of holding an extra curricula French club once a week during lunchtime.
  • To make necessary arrangements for European Day of Languages to be held during the school day throughout the school.
  • To take responsibility for ordering and storing of French resources and equipment for the school.
  • To provide parental interest and understanding of the use of French across the curriculum, and to be available if necessary, for Parents Consultation evening at the end of the school year, ie July.
