This new role has been created in recognition of the continuing growth and expansion of the organisation, and to ensure smooth transition for the people we care for.Reporting to the Board of Directors, the role of the General Manager will be to deliver excellence in the strategic and day-to-day financial and operational management of the organization.A recognized management qualification is essential to this role. At least three years’ proven success at senior management level is required.

The main purpose of the role will be:

a.To maintain the existing ethos and philosophy of care and support.

b.To ensure the delivery of an excellent standard of care and support through robust clinical and fiscal governance.

c.To understand and deliver effective strategies to enhance the services’ performance.

d.To line manage the Registered Manager and senior managerial staff; to line manage and oversee the administrative team.

e.To oversee and support the Registered Manager to maintain occupancy, by successfully negotiating with statutory agencies to ensure appropriate placements and adequate funding for the people we support.

f.To work with the Registered Manager to recruit, train and retain staff to maintain effective staffing levels and staff excellence.

g.To be accountable to and to report directly to the Board of Directors, to fulfill the responsibilities of the Nominated Person according to CQC regulations, and to develop and introduce effective communication systems.
