Due to continual growth and a strong project pipeline we are looking to expand our team and recruit an experience Assistant Site Manager to work on a significant £70 million-pound residential scheme in Birmingham. About the Role:

Reporting to the Senior/Site Manager the main role of an Assistant Site Manager at Willmott Dixon is to ensure delivery of a quality build in accordance with the project specifications and project requirements

The key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control operations to achieve the agreed programme; and monitor the works and supply chain to ensure provision of the right working environment to avoid disruption between trades
  • Understand the client priorities and adopt a professional and considerate approach to maintaining good working relations
  • You will adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructors' Scheme and manage community relations to ensure that the appropriate site image is maintained to encourage repeat business
  • Maintaining the company's sustainability objectives, you will undertake the works in the most economic manner to eliminate waste and avoid non recoverable costs and preliminaries losses.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management



Essential Criteria

  • A proven track record of assisting on a large-scale residential scheme
  • Proven experience in managing teams including the supply chain, direct employees and consultants
  • Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or equivalent
  • A current CSCS card and SMSTS certificate
  • Valid Driving Licence
  • First Aid at work certificate
  • Ability to accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications
  • Experienced in use of Microsoft programmes; ie Excel, Word, Outlook and Project
