Role Overview

An opportunity exists within Amey for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our Rail Business, working a high performing team on a collaborative Target Cost Contract with Network Rail. The Project is the delivery of a high profile, large Multi-Disciplinary Rail Systems contract in London, which is a key part of the Governments regeneration and development plans for the area and has a Completion date on May 2021. We're looking for an experienced individual to join the team of commercial staff to providing commercial management and reporting directly to the Principal Commercial Manager.

As Senior Commercial Manager you will be responsible for ensuring successful commercial outcomes of a major part of the Contract, developing the commercial strategy, implementing best commercial practice in all aspects of Value and Cost Management, Influencing the procurement strategy and overseeing the production of robust Sub-Contracts, risk management and providing valuation of change expertise. You will also be supporting the reporting requirements to both internal and external stakeholders as well as production of KPI's.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this position you will need to be of a Quantity Surveying background have experience in delivering large Multi-disciplinary Rail contracts for Major Contractors and managing a commercial team. You must have Target Cost experience in a collaborative environment, have experience Managing Sub-Contractors and Internal Delivery elements. You will need to have a relevant degree, preferably be chartered, have good communication and negotiation skills, with proven experience in change management and valuation of change.
