 Brief Description

The East Coast Upgrade (ECU) is a once-in-a-generation investment into one of the country’s busiest and most high-profile railway routes – the East Coast Main Line. The programme includes work on the track and signals outside King’s Cross, a new platform and associated equipment at Stevenage, a “dive-under” at Werrington and power supply upgrades the length of the route.  Combined these will enable more frequent services, new trains to run and a better service for passengers.
