Our client is seeking a female Senior Manager, with experience of the charity sector, to lead the effective delivery of trauma informed services across Avon and Somerset.

Due to the nature of the role applications are open to women only (exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1).

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on previous experience)

Hours: Full Time - 37 hours per week – however 4 days a week or flexibility will be considered.

Duration: Permanent

Based: The role can be based from either the Bristol or Taunton Hub (Travel across the region is required) [CB1]

Benefits: 5% pension, 27 days annual leave + bank hols (pro rata)

About the role:

Our client develops and delivers services for women and girls (16+) who have experienced sexual violence, at any point in their lives. As Senior Operations and Service Development Manager you will provide strategic leadership and senior management for the operation of services, primarily counselling, support work, learning disability work, group work, Helpline and online supports.

You will ensure that survivors can access responsive, effective, holistic and accessible services to meet their needs. This will include the development of responsive new services, considering creative and innovative approaches to reducing waiting times for survivors and engaging with underserved communities. Alongside the Volunteer Manager you will also manage and support the volunteering function of the organisation and its development across all services

About you:

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about supporting women who have experienced sexual violence.

Some of the key skills and experience essential to this role are:

 

  • Demonstrable and significant experience of operational management of service delivery
  • Experience of leading, empowering, motivating and developing teams and individuals
  • A strong track record in delivering excellent customer service and stakeholder and relationship management
  • Experience of overseeing projects and contracts ensuring they deliver on time and budget
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, best practice and legislation
  • Excellent levels of skill in report production, financial management, tender and proposal development
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, group facilitation and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Good IT skills and experience of using Excel, Word and Outlook

 

Although not essential an understanding of rape and sexual violence including causes and consequences would be highly beneficial.
