Role Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for a proactive and data driven individual to join our Central HSEQ functional team to cover a minimum of 12 months maternity leave.

This pivotal role is available immediately and represents a great opportunity for an individual to gain experience within our large Highways & Waste Collection business; dealing with multiple internal stakeholders and learning from our expert team of HSEQ professionals.

As HSEQ Coordinator you will gather and analyse data and statistics relating to multiple Highways and Waste Collection contracts across the UK focusing on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality. This data will be used to develop regular reports to senior internal stakeholders within the Business Unit, Group and parent company. You will also manage alerts and bulletins and provide regular communications to the business, as well as managing the team SharePoint. In addition to this you will provide support to up to 6 Health & Safety Business Partners, as required.

What are we looking for?

This varied role would suit a well organised and proactive individual with a passion for data and reporting to support a busy business function, and a willingness to learn new skills quickly. As you will work within our expert HSEQ function it would be useful for you to have knowledge of ISO9001, ISO54001 and ISO14001 standards, ideally gained from working in a similar role previously. You should have excellent knowledge of MS Excel, with the ability to compile complex reports and present them clearly to a varied stakeholder group. Some specific knowledge of AIRSweb or a similar database would be beneficial. However, full training will be provided.

This role would ideally be based out of our central Birmingham office, but we can consider other locations for the right individual.
