Amey - Smart Metering
We help families and businesses manage their energy better by providing them with a smart meter that enables them to track their energy usage as well as providing accurate associated costs. Working for Amey, Energy Metering you will be apart of a business that is working on behalf of large energy companies including: EDF Energy, Npower and Scottish Power who are determined for residents and businesses to have a smart meter as this will help reduce the emissions from homes and businesses, so you'll be playing an integral part to help protect the environment.

What will this involve?
Working for Amey as a smart metering dual fuel engineer, the role will involve: - Install gas and electric smart meters in line with industry standards and SMICOP requirement - Fitting traditional non smart meters as required - You will be aiming to complete 4 dual fuel meter installations per day - Explain the benefits and energy efficiency savings of the smart meters to our clients' customers - Work will be pre-planned and electronically scheduled using a touch pad system - Typical working week is 40 hours - Covering Call out duties on a rota basis

What are we looking for?
- Minimum Qualifications: CCN1/CMA1 and MET1 or Level 2 Smart Meter Diploma - You must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points - You must have held a previous MOCOPA authorisation - You must have an NSAP/EUSR registration - Ability to pass a DBS Check and Drugs/Alcohol testing - You must have experience fitting dual fuel smart meters

The Package
- 32K Base Salary - £2,000 London weighting allowance - Bonus of £12.50 per meter for each over the target - Up to £220 a week standby - Up to £17 - £22 per hour overtime - We will upskill you in electric and gas at our training centre in Manchester as required - 22 Days Holiday, Bank Holidays, Option to buy more - Van, Fuel Card, PPE, Phone, Enhanced Toolkit and Hand-Held Unit all provided - Additional flexible benefits such as pension, childcare vouchers, travel insurance and discounted retail vouchers
