Are you creative with an active interest in live music? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our clients Concerts Team.

Position: Concerts Administrator

Location: Edinburgh Office

Hours: Part-time, hours between 20 and 22.5 hours per week depending on location

Salary: £20,000 pro-rata

Contract: Permanent

The charity, which celebrated its 70th birthday in 2018, provides live music sessions for people who are receiving care or treatment in healthcare settings. In 2018/19 they delivered in excess of 4,500 live music sessions across the UK.

This is a tremendously exciting time to be involved with the organisation; in 2019 they successfully implemented a number of innovative and award winning programmes and partnerships, which they will look to build on in 2020 and beyond.

The Role

This is a really unique opportunity to build a career around something you love! We are looking for an experienced administrator with a passion for music to support a busy team.

As a key member of the concerts team, the Concerts Administrator will:

 

  • Support the delivery of live music sessions in the relevant geographic area of responsibility.
  • Support delivery of meaningful and participatory live music provision across partner venues supporting a wide range of beneficiaries through their live music choices.
  • Work closely with the Concerts Team and Music Development Manager in their geographic area of responsibility, to support the provision of live music sessions in healthcare venues, in line with annual targets.

 

This role would be great for someone looking to build their experience of working with musicians delivering live music to people receiving care or treatment.

About You

As Concerts Administrator, you will combine your passion for music and live performance with strong organisation skills and the ability to show initiative. You will use your administration experience to support the team and bring with you the ability to multi task and manage a large workload with outstanding attention to detail.

Well organised and focussed, you will be approachable and friendly with an ability to build relationships with effective communication skills and an excellent telephone manner. You will have experience of using data bases and IT office packages.

Having experience in the voluntary sector would be an advantage.

About the Organisation

The charity seeks to give joy through live music through the provision of live music sessions for people receiving care or treatment in healthcare settings across the UK, including those who are vulnerable, the elderly, those with dementia and in critical care.

Their live music concerts are presented by individual or small groups of skilled musicians who have been carefully selected through a process of audition. Sessions are tailored to the both the setting and the audience to ensure that they can reach and connect people, encourage communication and meaningful interactions and evoke emotions and memories to make people feel good one tune at a time.

You may also have experience in areas such as Music Delivery, Service Delivery, Music, Concert, Events Coordinator, Concert Administrator, Events Administrator.
