This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recruitment or Sales professional to be part of a fast growing organisation that recruits and develops young leaders to transform the educational and social outcomes of pupils across the UK.
Position: Recruitment Officer
Location: Birmingham with regular travel to Coventry
Hours: 9am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £22,000 - £23,100 (dependent on experience) - For the right candidate we will consider appointing at a Senior Recruitment Officer level (£23,900 - £27,900)
Contract: Permanent

The Role
The Recruitment Officer position offers the opportunity to lead on exciting regional attraction work to deliver a pipeline of high quality volunteers excited to apply for the City Year programme, with a specific focus in Coventry.
As Recruitment Officer you will:
- Contribute to delivering an efficient, effective, end to end recruitment service, supporting with selection and retention to ensure outstanding volunteers are recruited to deliver excellent outcomes for schools and pupils we work with.
- Lead regional recruitment to ensure that we deliver against targets.
- Provide outstanding customer service.
- Build effective relationships.
- Use creative approaches to recruitment that are successful for the area.
- Have responsibility and autonomy to search for exceptional volunteer leaders motivated to drive and shape social change.
About You
As Recruitment Officer you will be an excellent relationship builder with influencing skills and outstanding verbal and written communication skills. With a passion for the culture, vision and values of the charity, you be self-motivated bringing energy and enthusiasm to your work.
As Recruitment Officer, you will have experience and knowledge of:
- Working within a recruitment or sales setting.
- Working towards targets.
- Coventry / experience of recruitment in Coventry.
- Using an ATS (applicant tracking system) or CRM database.
- Working within a data driven setting.
- UK school leaver and graduate markets.
You will be asked to submit a CV and a cover letter as part of your application detailing your current and previous experience, how this is relevant and/or transferable to the Recruitment Officer role. We are keen to hear about specific recruitment or sales experience that you have alongside any other charity/third sector organisations you may have worked or volunteered for.
