Our client, a large well-established Charity are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager. You will work closely with the product manager and as part of an agile team, to help produce a product or service for their staff, service users or supporters. Your role is to ensure that your product stays true to user needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Work closely with your team to ensure everyone is supported and effective in playing their part
- Be accountable for the performance of the team Identify ways to unblock and facilitate your team on a daily basis
- Build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well Identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them
- Focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services
- Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team
Experience
- Demonstrable experience in delivering digital products and services
- Demonstrable experience of using a range of project management methods, including agile
- Demonstrable experience of projects where you balanced multiple priorities and managed through ambiguity
- Understanding of ‘digital’ and transformation programmes
- Experience of matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, fast-changing environment
- Appreciation of ‘digital’ and transformation programmes
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities at the same time
- Demonstrable experience of coaching and mentoring less experienced delivery managers
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with senior stakeholders
- Detailed understanding of legislative, financial and reputational risk and experience of putting in working practices to prevent and mitigate errors
- Recognition of individual and departmental responsibility with regards to confidential information, exhibiting a duty of care across both.
