We’re looking for a Network and Systems Support Engineer to play a vital role in providing support for hardware, software and network infrastructure across our client’s organisation.
Position: Network and Systems Support Engineer
Location: Swindon (M4 corridor)
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £30-35k pa

The Role
Working as part of the Hardware and Systems team, the Network and Systems Support Engineer will:
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for end-user hardware, software and the network infrastructure
- Ensure jobs are documented and allocated in a timely manner
- Involved in key IT projects to update, maintain and implement new technologies, which will help deliver our client’s strategic goals
About You
As Network and Systems Support Engineer, you will have excellent IT skills, be a well organised and a confident team player who is an effective problem solver. You’ll be unafraid of responsibility and keen to step up to new challenges and will have hands-on experience in providing technical assistance to remote staff via the telephone and training users in the use of IT systems and software
Other essential key skills include:
- Network services (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, etc.)
- Networking hardware (SonicWall firewalls, HP ProCurve switches)
- Microsoft Office 365 stack
- Networking protocols, routing and diagnostics
- Windows server 2008 R2 / 2012 / 2012 R2
- Microsoft Exchange 2013 / Office 365 / Hybrid
- VMWare ESXi and vCentre
