What is the purpose of this role?

To assist the Operations Manager, Planning Manager and Asset Manager in the execution of their duties and act on their behalf as directed.

To support the Operations Manager in the delivery of all activities using both Amey operatives and Subcontract partners.

What will this role involve?

HSEQ

Ensure compliance with the duties of and responsibilities of the Principal Contractor under the CDM Regulations and manage the production of a CPP and H&S file

Ensure that Subcontract partners engaged in construction are competent and adequately resourced for Health and Safety

Ensure all inspections, sampling and testing is carried out in order to verify compliance with the contract

Support the Operations Manager to ensure that Safe Systems of work are developed and adhered to

Support

Planning

Facilitate and complete site surveys for future works programmes under the instruction of the Asset Manager

Work with Planning manager in developing operational delivery plans

Arrange TM meetings with relevant Traffic Manager to agree TM requirements for required activities

Delivery

Liaise with Road Space Manager and Permit team regarding co-ordination and integration of works to ensure correct noticing has been approved

Challenge and verify all operational programmes to ensure contract compliance

Manage a team of Supervisors to assist in the delivery of the works

Liaise with Local Authorities, Statutory Authorities, Emergency Services and other third parties where necessary to ensure a successful completion of the works.

Management

Ensure all construction works are managed and administered in accordance with the contract

Commercial

Ensure all data necessary for measurement and valuation is collected and appropriate reports are prepared and provided to the Commercial team
