Job description

As the Strategy and Communication Lead, you will work at the heart of the IT Directorate, setting out and driving the delivery of the IT strategy.

You’ll lead a team to develop innovative communication strategies and delivery plans, engaging multiple audiences to support the achievement of our exciting ambitions.

Externally this will involve building the profile and reputation of DVLA within the digital and technology sector, publicising the exciting work we do to continue to position DVLA as an exemplar of digital and business innovation.
 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

- Own the formulation of the DVLA IT strategy, consolidating input from a range of ITS and wider business stakeholders, enabling the setting of direction for DVLA IT services over the medium and longer term horizon.

- Set out a strategic comms plan in support of DVLAs technology and business innovation, utilising the local and national IT community to grow DVLA’s digital/technology capabilities.

- Accountable for the line management and development of the resources within the ITS Strategy and Communication team in ensuring capability to deliver a quality service.
