Community Support Worker

Our client is looking for an exceptional Community Support Worker in Bury St Edmunds. Are you passionate about providing care and emotional support to help others achieve their personal goals and ambitions?

Position: Community Support Worker

Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Hours: Full-time and part-time contracts available, permanent (30 or 40 hour contracts available)

Salary: £8.80 per hour (with April 2020 pay review)

About the role:

This Community Support Worker role involves providing quality care to vulnerable people living in their own homes. Our client is recruiting a team to provide a 24/7 presence to support an adult male in his own home in Bury St Edmunds through an individual care plan.

If you’re someone who can develop and improve his outlook by both encouraging and involving him in a range of activities – educational activities such as gardening and home DIY as well as leisure activities including a different variety of sports.

If you have an interest in any (or all) of these activities, we are keen to hear from you.

About you:

As Support Worker you will need to be reliable, friendly and caring to help the person we support to achieve their everyday goals. By promoting their dignity, independence and well-being, you will become an integral part of his life by providing life skills, organised activities and personal care.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a full driving licence as, on occasions, you will be required to drive a private vehicle, but we will insure you.

Applicants who would like to begin a career in the health care sector who do not have experience will be also considered, as full training is provided for this role for suitable candidates.

Our client provides free enhanced DBS clearance, free training and career development opportunities.

We very much welcome previous experience working as Community Support Worker, Community Health Worker, Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
