Job Details
iPSL are looking for a Governance Analyst to ensure the governance, quality assurance, control around how we deliver our change projects and how we operate our ‘Service’ for the clients.
We are the leading digital payment processing service provider within the UK and have recently gone through the biggest business transformation programme the company has ever seen!
The role will be based in Northampton, and comes with a competitive salary, between £20,000 to £29,000p.a. (depending on experience).
The hours of work will be 35 per week Monday to Friday.
The Governance Analyst will work closely with Risk & Compliance to make sure that controls are adhered too and processes are followed, while policies upheld. The Governance Analyst will work with all levels of the organisation to ensure the governance is at the forefront of how ‘Change’ and ‘Service’ operate.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensure governance, assurance quality and integrity are consist across all Programmes and projects.
- Support project releases with the health check reviews of delivery before go live.
- Continue to maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, documentation and training.
- Attend Quality Assurance/Governance meetings and ensure appropriate documentation in place to evidence meeting output.
- Maintain required change and release management trackers to ensure is relevant to delivery approach.
- Management of programme level RAIDS and report through to the appropriate forums.
- Maintain a collaborative working relationship with the Risk and Compliance team to manage the overall scope of service, changes to scope and drive enhancements and improvements to processes and technology.
- Prepare quality assurance release reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities and develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Keep the 1LoD IT Governance Maturity Assessment up to date so the function can ensure it is operating at the desired level.
- Maintain the Governance control processes, owners, wording across Change and Service so it accurately feeds into the Risk JCAD system.
- Liaise with auditors when they come to test function to undertake audit reviews.
- Support the preparation and management of all external and internal audits.
- Continue to enhance ongoing compliance, governance and measurable (KPI’s) improvements.
- Support any improve project methodology & standards definition process with the wider team.
- Responsible for ensuring formal project reviews are carried out as appropriate throughout the project lifecycle to review the progress, project deliverables and achievements of the project objectives, identifying any variances to plans and implementing corrective actions as appropriate ensuring appropriate sign off and approval.
- Ensure the appropriate use of iPSL Change Control and Governance
- Support the change delivery, release management and senior leadership teams in developing and enhancing processes to the benefit of iPSL.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Understanding of the end to end Project lifecycle, including basic understanding of inception, design, development, testing and implementation elements.
- Appreciation of project management methodologies such as APMP, Prince II or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a change management environment.
- Basic ability to write a project report.
- Understanding of RAID log management.
- Competent MS Office and MS Project skills (at an intermediate level).
- Uses various skills and methods to manage internal and external stakeholders.
- Good presentation and meeting facilitation skills, ability to tailor approach to the needs of the audience.
- Knowledge and experience of banking and financial services is advantageous.
Training & Qualifications Required:
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Basic project management methodology qualification or equivalent is desirable.
