Job Details

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is responsible for promoting transparency and integrity in business. We are the UK Competent Authority for audit and set the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting, auditing and actuarial work. We monitor and take action to promote the quality of corporate reporting and operate independent enforcement arrangements for accountants and actuaries. The Finance team is part of the Corporate Services Division.  We provide the finance support for the entire organisation which includes treasury, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
 
The Role:
Key responsibilities include:

  • Raising Invoices
  • Cash Book reconciliation
  • Processing journals
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations at month end
  • Catalogue various processes and procedure manuals

The Person:
Candidates must have:

  • Attention to detail, enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • Previous experience in a similar role

The ideal candidates will also have:

  • IT skills – Sage, Excel, consolidation tools.
  • Finance training or working towards a finance qualification

The role is based in our Central London Office. The post holder should be able to work flexibly to support the team’s activities and also provide cover within the FRC as necessary.
