Role Overview

Transport for Wales has awarded KeolisAmey (Joint Venture) a multi-billion-pound contract to manage the Wales & Borders Franchise and to deliver the £738M Core Valley Line Infrastructure Transformation rail programme. This is the biggest ever contract to be awarded in Wales and we will work closely with Transport for Wales to deliver a new era for passengers and for Wales, with more services, newer trains, better stations and a more reliable network.

We are looking to appoint an Assistant Commercial Manager to support this project's Consulting arm, focusing particularly on Transformation works for our Core Value Line. This is an exciting time to join the team as, by supporting the Commercial Manager you will see the contract through from design, through to delivery.

The Assistant Commercial Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager on the following:

  • Monitoring the costs of the design team
  • Monthly financial reporting
  • Allocating time and budgets
  • Tracking and managing changes
  • Liaising with the client



What are we looking for?

To be successful in this position you must have had some exposure to commercial management. The role would suit an ambitious individual with the drive to support the contract as required to success, and grow their own knowledge base and commercial career. As part of the team you should be able to work well with your Line Manager and the delivery team to create a collaborative work environment.
