Job Details

At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper and to become the best bank for our customers. What we do makes a genuine difference to families, businesses and communities, and we're playing a central role in creating a thriving UK economy. Finance is key to that success by securing and building the financial strength and performance of the Bank.

You'll be joining the Financial Reporting team, part of the Pan Finance Centre of Excellence. We're responsible for the coordination, production, analysis and assurance of statutory returns and disclosures for Lloyds Bank Plc, Bank of Scotland Plc and other Lloyds Banking Group entities on an individual and consolidated basis. This includes associated and external disclosures for the RNS statements, Divisional Results, News Release, Investor Presentations, Annual Report & Accounts and 20F.

Within this team is Treasury Reporting, where you'll be joining us as a Manager. Our remit includes completing the GDRS enrichment process for the systems reported through Treasury Oracle (ACBS, Summit and Murex). We also produce Asset Encumbrance returns for the Group and support the Legacy Ireland and IMS Asia businesses, with responsibility for their financial control and related activities.

In addition, to being part of the management team, coaching and leading the colleagues around you, you'll be managing a suite of standard month end accounting tasks, including preparing manual journals and review of Balance Sheet reconciliations as part of the Balance Sheet substantiation process (AOC).

Other accountabilities will include:

  • Managing the process to deliver the monthly and quarterly Statutory and FinRep enrichment schedules per the agreed team responsibility matrix.
  • Managing the resolution of external audit queries.
  • Managing delivery of FX Returns, the Derivatives Gross Up process and support the SDTF process for Treasury related balances.
  • Managing a robust control framework for all processes within remit.
  • Undertaking ad hoc work and investigation arising from stakeholder requests.
  • Supporting agreed funded and unfunded projects.
  • Supporting delivery of efficiencies and culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supporting resource management and development of the team, including support and/or participation in resource sharing
  • Building and actively managing relationships with stakeholders

What can you bring to the role?

It's essential that you:

  • Are a qualified Finance professional (or have significant experience in relevant roles, equivalent to qualification)
  • Can demonstrate a good understanding and practical experience of using and operating Finance systems and processes, such as SAP
  • Can bring project management experience with an ability to identifying and lead on change and improvement initiatives
  • Are proficient (or higher level) in Microsoft applications and are able to use and manipulate spreadsheets, use advanced formulae and pivot tables
  • Have experience of working within a complex, fast-paced internal Finance function
  • Have a commercial understanding of the Financial Services and or Banking sector

And desirable that you have:

  • Worked in a Financial reporting role within Financial Services, or had exposure to a Treasury function
  • Experience of managing a small team

Your communication and interpersonal skills are well-developed and you're adept at liaising with internal customers at all levels. Great relationship management skills mean you're confident in building networks, and challenging and influencing others when needed.

Your written work is of an excellent standard, with attention to detail and accuracy. Accustomed to working autonomously, you're able to plan and organise your own workload effectively and have excellent prioritisation skills. And at the same time, being collaborative and supportive enables you to motivate those around you and champion a team work approach.

It is a very exciting time to join LBG. Together we'll continue our market leading, ground breaking transformation and you'll help us realise the Group's vision to become the Best Bank for Customers. Here, you'll grow as a person and develop your career.

In addition to the salary quoted, the position also offers a Discretionary Performance Share Award, generous pension contribution and Flex benefits cash pot you can adjust to suit your lifestyle (4% on top of your basic salary). You'll also benefit from private health cover and 28 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

You'll enjoy our total dedication to your ongoing personal and professional development. We'll help you perform at your best today, so you can fulfil all your potential in the future. We know that success is built from the inside out through our people. Our customers' experience and success starts with yours.

So if you have the skills we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you!
