Position Summary

Dplay is seeking an Associate Project Manager with multi-platform experience to join a fast-paced team building a greenfields platform for Discovery’s content. You will help support a Programme delivery team located in different locations across Europe, working closely with Product Managers, Delivery Manager and Designers to deliver multi platform products.

You will work collaboratively with the Product Managers to facilitate delivery of their vision. Your key role will be to create the right mix of support and discipline for the team to deliver.

Responsibilities

1. Manage Agile practices and ceremonies (stand-ups, refinement and estimation, planning, retros, showcases etc.) whilst remaining responsive to evolving business needs and priorities
2. Support the Programme Director and Programme Managers on their horizontal projects
3. Resolve issues, suggest process enhancements and generally be able to liaise with technical teams to get things done.
4. Encourage and motivate the development teams, remove blockers and protect them from distractions
5. Support Product team by providing estimates, project plans and status reports
6. Identify and manage risks and issues, escalating as necessary
7. Establish solid, constructive relationship with Product Owners and/or Managers
8. Ensure adherence to ‘ready’ and ‘done’
9. Monitor and manage performance metrics
10. Ensure quality throughout all stages of the Software Delivery Lifecycle

Requirements

* Previous experience managing third-party development resource in different locations
* JIRA & Confluence
* Pragmatic problem-solver able to adapt to continuous change and handle ambiguity
* Experience working in a VOD environment would be beneficial
* Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles
* Adaptable and resilient with a high attention to detail
* A self-starter, motivated and able to motivate others
* Comfortable communicating with different audiences, being able to manage upwardly and downwardly to a broad range of stakeholders
