As a result of a recent internal promotion, we have a high profile opportunity for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to provide leadership and support of our management reporting processes across our business divisions to drive business performance.  You will enjoy broad exposure to our senior team, including key ExCo members, including the CEO and CFO as well as have the scope to identify, influence and implement change.   About the role

  You will help to drive business performance through insights from BI, system improvements, process improvements (automation and efficiencies) and foresight through budgeting and forecasting. Responsible for a team, together you will provide financial analysis insight and support to assist our senior and executive teams with their strategic decision making processes. In this you will include regular review and analysis of financial results, compared to plan and budget as well as maintaining and distributing monthly financial management reports.  

Other elements to the role include:  

  • Providing support to management before, during, and after the annual budget process including responding to financial policy related questions, estimating revenue and/or expenses, verifying accuracy and validating assumptions.
  • Using Anaplan as a planning modelling tool and incorporating actual results from ERP systems JD Edwards and SAP.
  • Constructing and managing the financial model utilised in conjunction with the strategic planning and budgeting processes, using tools such as Anaplan and Cognos.
  • Acting as a liaison between management and the finance department including the interpretation of financial results and/or policies and the investigation of variances within monthly financial results.
  • Leading and participating in special projects including finance transformation initiatives.
  • Leading the team to do Financial consolidation and reporting.

  What will you bring?

  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CA or equivalent with some post qualification work experience.
  • Relevant tertiary business or accounting qualifications.
  • Experience providing leadership in financial planning and analysis, providing insights from analysis with ability to conduct data mining and demonstrate analytical capability
  • Experience in roles or projects requiring problem solving, analytical thinking, vision and leadership 
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets, knowledge of Anaplan or similar financial planning system is preferred QlikView Application development and administration (or other BI solutions)
  • Experience of insight software (previously GLI)
  • Preparation of presentations with insight analysis.
