The Role

Are you looking for an HR Systems Advisor role? Here at Amey we are looking for a technically minded individual who has worked previously with HR Systems (ideally SAP) and understands the impacts that the input of employee data has on Payroll. You will report into the HR Systems Manager for Mobilisations, and sit within the wider HR Systems and MI Team.

What is the purpose of this role?

Amey have a large amount of employees that join and leave the company through winning of new contracts and contracts coming to an end on a regular basis (TUPE Transfer). This has a massive impact on HR and the data quality the data held for Amey's employees.

As HR Systems Advisor you will submit and test any changes necessary to the HR System (SAP) for mobilisations, in addition to ensuring the employee data is uploaded into the system via data loads. There will be collaboration between the operational HR Teams and also teams within the HR Service Centre (Payroll, Pensions and Employee Lifecycle).



What will this role involve?

  • Documenting any systems change requests and working with IT to see these through
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of any systems builds put in place for the
  • Using the SAP Winshuttle software to upload data on mass
  • Complete thorough checks on the data uploads through running reports on the HR System and clashing data
  • Running payroll simulation to verify setup and work closely with the payroll and pension teams
  • Providing accurate and detailed reports to the new employer for Demobilisations (employees transferring out of Amey)
  • Involvement in HR Data Verification exercises



What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Previous experience of working with HR systems
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience creating and running data extracts and reports
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Payroll Knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of testing system developments
  • Ability to work to deadlines



Salary

As HR Systems Advisor (Band C) the role attracts a 37.5 hour working week, 24 days holiday, contributory pension, and access to a range of Amey savings
