The Role
Are you looking for an HR Information Systems Analyst role? Here at Amey we are looking for a technically minded individual who has worked previously within a similar role in HR Systems using SAP, who is willing to learn from the team but also add to the knowledge base through your own experience.
Workload and duties will often be varied, but typical duties will include managing change requests to the HR Systems, working closely with IT to see these through, and completing testing. You will also be responsible for managing the data feeds and integrations between various systems, and providing support to the HR Service Centre for queries. There will be plenty of opportunity for project work too, and you will have opportunity to represent the team in implementations.
What is the purpose of this role?
Amey use SAP as our core HR System, and you will work within the team that not only maintains, but also drives developments and improvements for SAP and any other systems used by HR. You will report to the HRIS Manager, and sit within the wider HR Systems Team in the HR Shared Service Centre.
What will this role involve?
- Documenting any systems change requests and working with IT to see these through
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of any systems builds put in place for the
- Representing the team when implementing new systems or upgrades
- Systems Administration of the different HR Systems. Uploading data on mass using dedicated software and managing system workflows.
- Using innovative systems solutions to solve challenges within the HR Service Centre
- Understanding the set up of the organisation structure in SAP and how this impacts SAP and the other HR Systems
- Working with both HR and IT to help resolve any technical issues that arise
What are we looking for?
Essential:
- Previous experience of working within a similar HR Systems role
- Experience of working on SAP
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- An analytical thought process with the ability to troubleshoot issues
- Experience of testing system developments
- An understanding of system workflows
Desirable:
- Experience creating and running data extracts and reports
- Knowledge of organisation structures
- Experience of using supplementary HR Systems (outside of SAP)
- Experience in putting together technical documentation and also easy to understand user guides
