Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced project manager to lead on the delivery of the Hertford Theatre Growth and Legacy Project. The new theatre will ensure Hertford town centre remains vibrant and relevant as a retail, social, leisure and entertainment destination.

Position: Project Manager – Hertford Theatre

Salary: £41,369 - £45,241 (inclusive of local weighting) Grade 10

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week – with flexible working options

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hertford

About the Role

If successful you will be responsible for project managing delivery of the scheme through RIBA stages 4 – 7 and working in collaboration with a range of stakeholders to ensure that it is delivered on time and within budget, whilst meeting all of the project brief requirements.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the OJEU procurement process and appointment process for the construction contractor
  • Managing a wide range of stakeholders
  • Liaising with EHDC District, Town and County Councillors
  • Managing all Project documentation
  • Managing public consultation and liaising with the public and key stakeholders

This exciting project will include design proposals for:

  • the expansion and significant design improvements to the main auditorium
  • a new studio theatre and community rooms
  • three new cinema screens,
  • improved front and back of house spaces,
  • an improved café area with a riverside setting and a boardwalk along the river edge to improve the links between the Town and Castle Gardens and open up access to the historic Motte.

About You

This role will suit a focused, experienced and enthusiastic project manager who enjoys a challenge and is capable of delivering outcomes in a multi-agency context. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience/ demonstrable track record as a project manager
  • A recognised project management accreditation or qualification
  • Experience of project management in the cultural/ arts sector or in large construction projects
