Our central Purchasing team sits at the heart of our fast-paced business, working with all brands, functions as well as VW Financial Services (VWFS) to enable them to on-board and purchase effectively and economically from our suppliers. We're looking for two Purchasing Managers to join this pivotal team and be a subject matter experts in this area. These roles will be responsible for managing the supplier cost and performance drivers within the business, putting in place levers designed to ensure that the company maintain its sustainable profit growth.
The Purchasing Manager will to join the team on a permanent basis reporting into the Purchasing Team Manager and be a key in supporting VWG Brands, VW Group and VWFS, ensuring that all suppliers are selected, approved and contracted in accordance with the companies purchasing policies and procedures. You'll need to be a forward thinking and proactive, developing strategies and initiatives to ensure that Category cost saving and supplier performance targets are achieved or exceeded.
This is a broad role and as a result you'll need multiple skills and abilities to ensure that you're a success. You'll be working with purchases for large sums of money, so of course will need a keen eye for detail and a strong head for numbers. With the cross function and cross brand exposure of this role and access to numerous senior stakeholders, you'll need to able to build strong and productive relationships to enable you to influence decisions and maximise Category cost saving.
