A leading renewable energy asset manager in UK, Italy and India, is  growing into new international market. We're currently recruiting for a qualified in-house Lawyer with 3-5 years' experience to work closely with the Global Head of Commercial to manage our international contracting requirements. The successful applicant would provide legal advice on contractual matters in a range of jurisdictions. Your own legal expertise would be supplemented with counsel provided through partnerships with other legal specialists, and you would provide the primary interface between those providers and us.

The role is available part-time (20-25 hours a week, approximately) on a 12 month fixed term contract initially, however we are prepared to offer it as a permanent role for the right candidate.  You will need to be able to work from the central London office (once restrictions ease) regularly in order to establish good working relationships and rapport with the broader team, but the role can be pre-dominantly home based for the right candidate. The role 

Contracting: drafting legal agreements, including but not limited to Framework Agreements, Management Services Agreements, contract Variations, etc. in a range of international jurisdictions. When required, identify and seek legal advice from local providers to ensure Agreements are tailored appropriately for respective jurisdictions.  Providing advice and legal opinion to recommend resolutions to contractual disputes and/or legal areas of uncertainty. Reviewing client legal agreements and recommending improvements and/or changes, if not reasonable.   Reviewing existing agreements and in conjunction with stakeholders, e.g. departmental heads / head of business development, etc recommending, drafting and executing improvements. Supporting negotiations with new Client legal agreements, when required.    

About you

·        You should be a qualified lawyer with 3-5 years post qualification experience and have the legal right to work in the UK

·        Experience in renewable energy and/or asset management is highly desirable

·       Experience of international contracting, for example: Drafting new agreements (Framework Agreements, Management Services Agreements, Variations, etc), Resolving operational contractual matters

·        Ability to identify and work with local legal providers, when necessary
