Job description

As a Procurement Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for providing assurance and commercial leadership. You will support and provide expert advice to Directors, governance bodies and partners across the DfT group. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues in the department and our Arms- Length bodies such as Highways England and Network Rail.

If successful, you will deliver an end to end assurance model from Business Case review, following this through the procurement lifecycle, including the hand-over into contract management.
 

Responsibilities

- Leading procurement assurance of Tier 3 procurement projects (£100k – up to £50m) across the Group

- Advising and providing assurance to various governance Boards on assurance matters

- Managing the secretariat function supporting the operation of the Commercial Assurance Board (CAB)

- Providing expert advice to our Investment Portfolio Decision Committee (IPDC) and other governance Boards

Additional Information

Due to COVID 19 we are currently working remotely, if successful you will be provided with IT equipment so you can carry out your duties.

Once usual service commences, you will be required to travel 2-3 times a month. This may include some overnight stays, you will be provided with full notice of this.
