Our obsession for finding the right fit isn’t just for customers but you too. Ideally the role is based at our Purfleet office in Essex (2 minutes from the M25) and is Monday to Friday however we’re happy to talk about flexibility in respect of working hours. We have free parking on site, lovely food in our on-site subsidised staff restaurant and a friendly bunch of people to work with!

This is a new role to establish and maintain Carpetright as a credible provider of flooring in commercial flooring markets. Experience of the flooring industry is advantageous. Previous relevant experience in a senior B2B role is essential

We’d love to hear from you if you are able to:

  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with potential and current customers
  • Create, analyse, improve and own the B2B sales process
  • Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of competitors in the sector including the product, prices and services they offer
  • Attend industry functions and conferences and advise on market trends.
  • Use knowledge of local market and competitors to identify and develop Carpetright’s business proposition  
  • Help convert prospects into new business

 

What You'll Need to Succeed
 

  • Full driving licence
  • 3 years sales and/or business development experience at a senior level
  • The ability to demonstrate and evidence a strong track record in sales and/or the securing of new business
  • A forward thinking and creative sales approach
  • Results-driven
  • Confident negotiation skills and the ability to close a deal
  • Excellent at building strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Professional approach with high degree of discretion
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Willing to learn, be flexible and get involved with a wide range of tasks
  • Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and generate solutions
