Grow your project and portfolio management experience in Macquarie Capitals’ Infrastructure & Energy Group. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure into the renewable energy and asset investment space.

As an Executive you will be working jointly with the asset manager and directors managing Infrastructure and Energy principal investments and portfolio as well as third party assets. You will be providing financial model analysis and interacting directly with project team, advisers, lenders and investors. For this you will be responsible for keeping the projects’ operational financial models updated and ensuring they reflect the latest technical, commercial and macro economical changes that have occurred or expected to occur on the investment. This is a key role within the ongoing management of investments as it provided critical information needed to support the decision making of the board of directors of the project companies. As a part of our team you will also have the ability to get involved in the general management of the assets and the portfolio.

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2-3 years’ experience gained in an investment management / investment banking/project finance environment or an advisory firm working with financial services clients. You will need to demonstrate strong modelling experience, skills and the ability to build project finance infrastructure models from scratch. Ideally you will have some experience or an interest to learn about the renewable energy industry. You will also be able to demonstrate strong skills in relationship management, providing risk analysis, and financial reporting.

If you have strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mind and you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
