As the Head of Credit Risk Data and Reporting, you will be will be responsible for the development, implementation and effectiveness of our framework for credit risk data, reporting and systems. Sitting at the heart of the Credit Risk and Analytics team, you will lead a team that supports the rest of the department focusing on process efficiency and automation. 

So what would you be doing?...

• Leading continuous enhancement of the risk data mart, making sure it delivers the information required to oversee credit risk and meet regulatory requirements

• Creating and maintaining credit risk data items used for risk reporting, modelling and validation

• Promoting and leading automation and code optimisation, to reduce manual interventions and error

• Generating data packs for Credit and Executive Risk committees, external reporting and regulatory information requests 

• Leading on model implementation for the Credit Risk team

• Chairing the Credit Risk Data and System committee and representing the Credit Risk function at the Bank’s Data Governance committee

• Designing and implementing controls and driving improvements in data quality

• Maintaining credit risk systems and infrastructure to support the growth of the department

• Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders

• In order to exceed in this role, you need an in depth knowledge of Credit Risk and best practices in risk measurement, risk data management and risk reporting

• You must have a good understanding of regulatory requirements, including IFRS9, IRB and BCBS 239

• You need to have excellent knowledge of SAS/SQL/VBA 

• We need you to have willingness and ability to go into the details of issues and propose innovative solutions

• You need a track record of leading a diverse team to develop individuals and achieve results

• In order to succeed in this role, you will have a strong background within the banking sector
