General Summary

An important position within the Commercial Ops team that provides support to the International ad sales teams across our global networks. The role takes on the responsibility for the execution and delivery of all commercial solutions for International Advertising Sales across EMEA, APAC and LATAM.  The role also includes the creation and delivery of relevant break patterns for EMEA to local teams and/or 3rd party sales representatives. Additional responsibility may include booking international campaigns on pan feeds and assisting with UK sponsorship campaign management.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the delivery of all International commercial deals from start to finish ensuring successful delivery across all our relevant commercial feeds to the advertising client’s satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain a relationship with counterparts across Europe and globally.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across EMEA, APAC and LATAM Divisions and Discovery’s global networks regarding inventory requirements.
  • Alert Manager to potential inventory conflicts between local and international sales.
  • Liaise with creative agencies to ensure timely delivery of all creative elements.
  • Advise and report back to local and global teams on any potential compliance issues relating to the commercial
  • Oversee the creation and timely delivery of all monthly Break Patterns where applicable
  • Work closely with colleagues across EMEA, APAC and LATAM, managing the delivery of commercials into the Transmission Centre in London
  • Develop a good relationship with the International Sales teams globally, providing operational and status reports for the duration of the campaigns.
  • Work closely with Broadcast Service Operations (BSO) on a day to day basis
  • Ensure that all internal departmental procedures and workflows are adhered to for successful delivery of campaigns
  • Book local and pan-regional campaigns on the Sales planning system in London

 

Requirements

  • Commercial traffic and sales planning experience
  • Proven success in a similar role executing standard commercial campaigns within the broadcast industry
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Proven experience in the understanding of planning and scheduling systems and processes
  • Experience in working under pressure while meeting tight deadlines and delivering a budget.
  • Basic Edit experience in (Adobe Premiere or Final Cut) would be an advantage
  • IT competency
