Take ownership of your HR career and come and join our dynamic London HR team where you will be immersed in a workplace culture built upon opportunity.

You will provide key advisory and HR delivery services in the HR Central Services team, which includes Technology, Operations, Business Services, Finance, Treasury, Compliance, and other divisions. As part of the wider HR team both regionally and globally, you will play an important role in partnering with leaders to drive strategic HR priorities as well as leading on day to day HR activities.  The scope of the role is both strategic advisory as well as tactical and will require you to leverage your expertise across talent management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, reward and employee relations.

As a capable HR professional, you will be equipped for the depth and diversity of the responsibilities this role offers.   Broadly, these will range from delivering on divisional people initiatives, including aligning performance, capability, talent and reward, through to collaborating on business projects and providing input into global and Group-wide programs.   Your ability to proactively drive change, use insights and data to equip decision makers, and influence stakeholders will be key to your success.

You will be driven and self-motivated with a learning mindset and able to demonstrate prior effectiveness in a highly matrixed, international environment. You will be a team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities and have a successful track record in a relevant HR generalist role. You have a delivery-focused style, a pragmatic and commercial approach, and excellent judgement.  You will have a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse stakeholder group. You will also have degree-level education with business or other relevant professional qualifications and well-developed analytical and numeracy skills.

If you are seeking to take on accountability for a diverse range of HR activities and driving strategic outcomes, while remaining actively engaged in the day-to-day delivery of HR services to business leaders and teams, this is a fantastic opportunity!

Working at Macquarie

We believe in providing a positive environment for all our staff that is innovative and inspiring. For our female staff, Macquarie’s senior leaders are actively involved in increasing the representation of females in management positions.  In June 2014, we launched a mentoring programme for females, with the following two objectives:

  • Address female retention rates at Senior Manager level and improve our diverse pipeline of talent;
  • Engage female Senior Managers by providing tools and support around their personal development;

The programme pairs up Senior Managers with Directors, who meet on a monthly basis, and are supported by active group sessions (bi-monthly) with an external facilitator.

We select some of the brightest minds to help us in solving complex challenges for our clients.  We recognise that recruiting talent from varied backgrounds is essential to improving our understanding of the marketplace, and enhancing creativity and problem-solving capabilities in our businesses.

Because of this, our commitment to you is to create a diverse and inclusive workplace regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity or cultural background.

We make this commitment not only because it is the right thing to do but it opens up a world of opportunity, securing the future of our people, our success and our business
