Ecommerce Digital Manager

We're looking for an Ecommerce Digital Manager to join our client’s team to provide expertise and leadership to develop the ecommerce website and deliver income for conservation.

Our client is the largest wildlife conservation organisation in Europe with over one million members. They speak out for birds and wildlife, tackling the problems that threaten our environment. Their ecommerce channel provides a significant and fast-growing income stream that helps to ensure there is enough money available for their ambitious conservation goals.

Position: Ecommerce Digital Manager

Location: Occasional visits will be needed to the head office in Sandy, Bedfordshire, however the location can be flexible as remote/homeworking is available.

Salary: £30,817 to £34,472 per annum

Hours: Full time. permanent

About the role:

As Ecommerce Digital Manager you will ensure that standards and guidance, as well as strategy, are developed in line with business needs and industry trends to help shape future ecommerce site plans and roadmap. The role is also hands-on, sharing the responsibility for maintaining products (copywriting and imagery) and producing content on the charity’s Shop website based on business and customer objectives, available data and channel capabilities.

Reporting to the Ecommerce and Marketing Manager, the role will work with other staff/external parties to develop novel techniques, processes and systems to enhance customer experience, efficiency, control costs, enable research or experimentation. The overarching aim is to improve the user experience and inspire new and existing customers to achieve the channel's goals.

About you:

To be successful in the role of Ecommerce Digital Manager you will have a detailed operational knowledge of ecommerce website systems, you will also bring with you the following skills and experience:

 

  • Full understanding of the ecommerce digital specialism/discipline
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of work practices policies and procedures relevant to ecommerce, including broader sector/commercial awareness
  • Experience of planning and progressing digital work activities according to strategic need.
  • Digital marketing knowledge e.g. SEO, PPC and email
  • Proven record of managing multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Web content skills including HTML and Photoshop
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Business acumen and marketing
  • Analytical and numeracy
  • Google Analytics
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
