L&Q are looking for an experienced Passive Fire Stopper to join the fire management repairs team within Direct Maintenance. 

This team is responsible for carrying out repairs following on from our internal and external FRAs.

Covering the South Regions – including Southwark, Croydon, Wandsworth, Sidcup, Horsham and surrounding areas.  You must be prepared to travel to all parts of London.

The role is to provide a customer focused Fire Management Repairs and Maintenance service across L&Q’s properties and communal areas whilst putting safety first.

The role will report to a Fire Maintenance Supervisor and to carry out, works as instructed. Whilst meeting L&Q's corporate targets of financial strength and resident satisfaction and deal with the outcomes of Fire Risk Assessment actions in a timely manner.

Candidates will have ideally gained experience within a reactive fire role within a social housing environment. They will be able to carry out a number of tasks including, but not limited to, passive fire-stopping, finishing and decoration.

This role requires a keen attention to detail.  Awareness of Ablative batt, fire rated plaster board and intumescent sealants.

Our Operatives are supplied with an L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment.  You will begin the day from your home address where you will travel to jobs which are distributed to your PDA (hand-held device).
