We are looking for an MI & Technical Analyst to join our centralised recruitment team. You will be responsible for the conception, development and implementation of HR MI & change initiatives within the DfT Resourcing Group (DRG).

You will be reporting to the Data Analysis Lead within DRG and have the chance to create positive working relationships across the Department for Transport.
 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• gathering, processing, analysing, monitoring and evaluating trends in Management Information relating to Recruitment
• producing MI reporting for all resourcing activities
• supporting the development of an internal & external performance reporting system
• supporting the development of a Continuous Improvement Programme
• manage the internal, end-to-end invoicing process for DRG
• supporting the development of the new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

As part of a flexible, supportive team you will have the opportunity to work strategically with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels to make a real impact on Departmental Resourcing strategies.

DfT has a strong culture of learning and development. The previous post holder left on promotion.

Please note that once normal working arrangements resume the successful candidate, if not based in Swansea, will be required to travel regularly to the Swansea office.

About you -

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who thrives working in a busy environment with strong inter-personal skills, innovative thinking and talent for working with data and getting people on board with new ideas.

The ideal person will hold proven experience working with Excel 2007, including using complex formulas, pivot tables and basic statistical formulas. A basic knowledge of working with Microsoft Access and database construction will be sought after, alongside experience of working in MI/data analysis teams/environments.

A basic knowledge of working with Power BI to date would be a distinct advantage.

Things you need to know Security
