What will you be doing?

The Workplace Savings & Distribution team are integral to the success of our Insurance strategy to 'protect today and secure tomorrow'. Our colleagues represent and promote our flagship Scottish Widows workplace savings propositions across the financial services industry; engaging with consultants, advisers, employers, trustees, and end-customers, to build strong, lasting relationships to achieve business results.

Key to our success is to onboard new clients in an efficient and commercial way to give the client the best experience possible.

The Onboarding & Implementation Senior Manager will be a key member of the Client relationships leadership team and leads a virtual team in delivery of complex large corporate client facing projects to ensure professional, efficient and timely onboarding of contract based pension and Master Trust clients. You'll be responsible for ensuring a project plan is developed to deliver client transition; ensuring the fundamentals of Project Management excellence are achieved and the specific commercial, negotiation and technical aspects of the pension onboarding is achieved for the client. This includes analysis, governance, planning, managing finances and delivering value. The role holder will build relationships both internally and externally to skilfully navigate the commercial and legal process in asset transition liaising with client and SME's where needed to ensure delivery

Additional accountabilities will include;

  • Manage complex workplace pension onboarding projects for the Workplace Savings & Distribution business working with the client, business development and client teams, SME's, workstream leads and senior internal stakeholders to establish a project plan

  • Work closely with the business development and client teams during prominent site visits and final selection exercise

  • Takes ownership of delivery from the sales lead through to implementation

  • Utilise Project methodology to establish project plan adhering to Group governance and regulatory and compliance requirements

  • Builds effective teams and manages project resource to deliver on time and within budget

  • Delivers outcomes by managing others within established systems

  • Coaches the wider team to achieve delivery excellence

  • Where there is an existing scheme restructure the programme manager will own all aspects of the restructure including scheme set up, member moves, asset transition and mapping, legals, comms working closely with the client manager.

  • On project completion, complete launch review with client

  • Identify and suggest improvements in existing processes, systems and procedures

What we'll need from you;

  • Experience in complex project management and specifically for the onboarding of workplace pension clients

  • Experience in dealing with projects related to asset transition including contract negotiation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong partner management, both internally and externally at senior levels

  • Project management methodology and governance

  • Negotiating skills and commercial acumen

  • Experience in asset transition projects and contract negotiation
