Job Title: iOS Engineer
Location: Central London office
Base Salary: £68, 139 - £75, 710 plus excellent benefits

The role is based at out central London hub location. When we can return to the office, there is opportunity to work 1-2 days per week from home and work from the office 3 days per week. We're happy to offer flexible work schedules, for example start and finish times, or compressed hours!

About the role
In this role, you'll contribute to the technical leadership team's work of driving the technology and future of the platform. Working with the Strategy and UX/UI Design teams as well as customer organisations to architect, design, and implement solutions.
You'll also be crafting, developing, and producing mobile components and services; resolve, apply, and improve appropriate methodologies and toolsets for customers.

 

The minimum background experience and skills you'll need to apply:
*You have a solid understanding of designing a mobile experience for variable screen sizes in variable versions of iOS, and strong knowledge of iOS SDK
*Strong knowledge of Apple UI design principles, interface guidelines, patterns, and best practices
*Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
*Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, and a knack for benchmarking and optimisation as well as proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Fastlane

 

Additionally, we'd looking for hands-on experience of continuous delivery across areas such as code reviewing; mentoring/educating junior (or less experienced) developers; understanding of basic App architectures (i.e. MVVM); practical Swift experience with focus on native unit and UI testing.

It would also be great if you have the following experience but not essential:
*Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
*Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design as well as knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
*Familiarity with MVVM architecture, Android Architecture Components, RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services i.e. PromiseKit

 

We would also love someone with familiar with Agile principles and methodologies and usage of related tools - JIRA and Confluence.
