The Future of Shared Services (FoSS) Programme will design, build and transition the Department for Transport (DfT) to a modernised Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform in 2022, impacting over 18,000 people across 5 different organisations.

As Shared Services Change Delivery Lead you will oversee the delivery of the Shared Services Change Programme within MCA. Working with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will ensure that the new shared service platform is fit for purpose and meets the needs of the business.

Leading the delivery team on all system changes that impact the running of the current or future shared service system, you will provide effective project and delivery plans, design and deliver updates and communications, training and guidance, and work closely with Change Agents across the business to ensure they are ready for the new platform.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience of delivering change, test management and coordination to gain a better understanding of MCA’s priorities and how we work, and to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the business and wider DfT.
 

Responsibilities

You will:
• lead the delivery team on all system changes that may impact the efficient running of the current or future shared service system
• work with all stakeholders to agree scope and support for delivery functionality, priorities, timings, testing resources and acceptance criteria and liaising with Business Leads to co-ordinate FoSS system change delivery with BAU changes
• manage delivery of the Shared Services Change Programme, working with relevant business areas within MCA and DfT to ensuring they are engaged at every stage
• plan and coordinate the delivery of all associated activities of the Shared Services Change Delivery Programme, including configuration discussions, prototyping, testing and working with business areas to put temporary solutions and/ or contingencies in place
• create and maintain a defect and associated business risks and issues log, identifying mitigation opportunities and working closely with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to resolve, schedule and prioritise resolution
• working in partnership with Information Assurance branch to mitigate risks of data breaches and to escalate and resolve any issues to ensure any change delivery is compliant with GDPR legislation and MCA data management protocols
• represent the Shared Services Change Delivery team at DfT, MCA and supplier programme and governance boards

Although this role is based in our Southampton Headquarters, we will consider requests to work remotely from any MCA location. You may also be required to travel around the UK to attend meetings which may require overnight stays.

About you -

We are looking for someone with advanced IT skills and experience of test management and coordination to drive the implementation of the Shared Services Change Programme. You will be able to utilise your experience of project management, working with ERP systems, and working with third party suppliers to ensure our any changes delivered meet the needs of the business.

You are exceptionally well organised and take a flexible approach to your work, able to effectively manage and prioritise a busy workload. You are a driven, proactive and detail-focused individual who strives for quality outcomes in everything you do. You look at the bigger picture and take a positive approach to solving problems, thinking ahead to anticipate and address any risks before they occur.

You are a confident communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, able to build lasting positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers. Interviews/assessments are likely to be held week commencing 14th December 2020.

This interview could be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
