Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets division has an opportunity for an experienced candidate to join the Fund Management Team supporting the Private Credit business in our London office.

Our Infrastructure & Real Assets division helps finance essential real assets, including infrastructure, social housing and healthcare accommodation, through the provision of private credit. Through its managed funds and partnerships with clients, our Private Credit team oversee approximately €9.7 billion in debt investments as at 31 March 2020. Macquarie’s infrastructure debt asset management business, Macquarie Infrastructure Debt Investment Solutions is housed within the Private Credit division.

In this new role, you will be a key member of the team responsible for the oversight of all financial, regulatory and investor reporting working closely with both internal and external stakeholders including managing client / investor relationships and oversight of a number of external service providers, auditors and other commercial counterparties.

Utilising your operational and relationship skills, you will work closely with the wider Private Credit business as well as administrators managing the life cycle of financing transactions, from the execution phase through to oversight of the day-to-day transactional activities including coordinating the flow of funds from investor to borrower via an array of Fund products or Separately Managed Accounts.  You may also be involved in the client settlement process; checking loan and supporting documentation’s accuracy and completeness to enable settlements, which requires you to have a thorough understanding of both the legal and operational aspects of transactions.

You will be involved in various aspects of treasury and liquidity management for the Funds including optimising the FX and hedging requirements of the Fund and managing investor drawdowns and distributions. You will also be involved in ad hoc investor reporting as well as responding to individual questions or due diligence request from Investors.

You will help drive policy adherence across the team and help ensure a robust risk management control framework is in place.

Your experience in a similar type role – for example working on closed-end or open-ended private equity or debt Funds would be advantageous, although not essential.

Being tertiary qualified with advanced Excel skills, you will combine your experience in Fund Management or Loan operations with your attention to detail to form an integral part of a very successful Fund Management team, delivering a high level of service to our stakeholders and clients.

Your technical competencies will enable you to deal with unique and varied Fund structures and your high level of IT literacy and your experience and understanding of IFRS and multi-currency environments will be utilised in this role.

Your strong prioritisation skills, being able to deliver within tight timelines, your effectiveness in planning and ensuring quality output will be essential in this role. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be a highly motivated, proactive, and resilient individual.

You will demonstrate sound business judgement and possess strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

Finally, you will be degree-educated, coupled with a formal accounting qualification with PQE.
