Virtual Tutor, Stockton on Tees Location: Stockton on Tees Salary: £25.00 - £28.00 per hour Contract type: Part Time Contract terms: Temporary Posted: 23 October 2020 Closing date: 30 November 2020 Virtual Tutor £25.00 - £28.00 per hour Stockton on Tees Vision for Education are working in partnership with a number of specialist provisions across Teesside to recruit for Virtual/Online Tutors to provide 1:1 teaching to young people who have missed valuable teaching time due to the Covid 19 pandemic.  The role Work will be provided by the Tutor and will cover Maths, English and Science (theory) at varying levels but guidance will be provided prior to the sessions. Study is to be conducted on a flexible, hourly basis (between 2 – 20 hours per week) and will take place via a secure virtual platform. Our online tuition platform was designed for education and provides a full suite of tools enabling our tutors to provide effective and safeguarded 1-1 and small group sessions. Tutors and students can easily share, edit, and create documents together in real time. Lessons may take place during the school day, or after school depending on your availability and the requirements of the client schools.  Due to the nature of the role, suitable candidates will be comfortable liaising with school contacts and report any issues or concerns when necessary. Requirements Applicants will have experience of Tutoring on a 1:1 basis and / or be a qualified Teacher with QTS. The ideal applicant will have previous experience within an SEND environment and be an organised, positive, empathetic and responsible individual Have access to a laptop with webcam, and have reliable broadband internet connection Be comfortable to plan and lead sessions online – previous experience is desired but not essential as training is provided Have a passion for teaching with the ability to deliver engaging lessons Applicants must be available to work in the Teesside area. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and meet all national safeguarding criteria.
