An attractive 45 bedded Nursing Home in Bembridge, on the Isle of Wight, is currently looking for Care Assistants on both Days and Nights to join their dedicated team. The home is located in an extremely idyllic area in the beautiful village of Bembridge. The original building has been extended and developed to include a purpose-built wing, providing a warm and comfortable environment for the residents. The company has a number of homes across the South of England and are well-known for providing top quality, person-centred care in all of their services. This is an exciting opportunity for Carers to join their passionate team of HCA's and SHCA's and put your acreer in the best of hands.
We are looking for Care Assistants who have a passion and desire to care for others and work alongside a team of other carers to promote dignity and independence for all residents within the Care Home and assist them to lead active and fulfilling lives. You'll work as part of a supportive team of Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants, and benefit from ongoing opportunities for training and professional development.
Care Assistants with little or no experience within care homes will benefit from a thorough training and induction programme and if you aim to progress in your career then the home can support you with this and even help you gain NVQ qualifications.
Key details
Both full and part time, permanent positions are available working both Days and Nights. These come with varying pay rates as detailed below:
No NVQs
Days - £8.80ph weekdays and £9.05ph weekends
Nights - £9.05ph and £9.30ph NVQ or equivalent qualifications in Health and Social Care
Days - £9.05ph weekdays and £9.30ph weekends
Nights - £9.30ph and £9.55ph
Main duties for care assistants are as follows:
Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting
Keeping residents comfortable and assisting in manual handling and movement around the home
Checking and reporting any change in residents conditions to a senior care assistant
Assisting and encouraging residents to take part in an engaging range of activities that the home offers
Cleaning the care home and adhering to infection control policiesHours
Long or short shifts and they can offer full or part time hours:
08:00-18:00
07:30-13:30
13:30-19:30
08:00-14:00
14:00-20:00
Desirable:
Care assistants with previous experience within a care home and NVQ's within health and social care.
Hours:
24 - 48 hours per week (alternate weekends)
